# Moonsail Launch Film

Follow the shared production kernel from the Moonsail root. This skill owns the
launch concept and intended viewer experience. Load `moonsail-product-demo-film`
when real product demonstration is a material part of the film, not as the
default governing form. Load `moonsail-cinematic-scene` when a generated or
dramatic sequence carries the idea. When people, creatures, or fictional action
carry the idea, also read [Narrative Integrity](../moonsail/references/narrative-integrity.md)
before writing the treatment. Load `moonsail-deslopification` to diagnose an
interchangeable treatment or rendered result, not to manufacture quirks.

Keep factual product states authoritative. Never let the concept counterfeit
the interface, capabilities, customer evidence, or results.

Read [Creative Direction, Composition, and Pacing](https://moonsail.ai/skills/moonsail-launch-film/references/composition-pacing.md)
before choosing a treatment. Record the selected treatment and beat plan as
JSON, then run `scripts/validate-composition-plan.mjs`. Hosted consumers must
load `validate-composition-plan.mjs`, save that module locally, and run it with
Node. The validator checks contract integrity only; it
cannot approve taste, originality, or appeal.

## Production Contract

1. Build the truth floor from supplied and Space sources. Record the audience,
supported promise, claim ledger, available proof, offer, CTA, placements,
constraints, approved assets, and unsupported claims. Do not invent product
truth to make a concept feel specific.
2. Establish a creative position before writing shots: the human tension, point
of view, intended feeling, governing idea, and reason the idea belongs to this
product. If the sources contain no distinctive mechanism, perspective,
evidence, or brand material, state that ceiling instead of compensating with
   arbitrary style.
3. For story-led or hybrid work, lock causal story reality and believable
   blocking before visual direction. Pass the neutral-coverage reality review;
artistic direction may transform how an event is observed, never what the
   characters decide or do.
4. When direction is open, develop a small set of genuinely different complete
treatments. When the user has already chosen a direction, develop that one
without ritual alternatives. Define how each treatment governs image,
product proof, camera and graphic motion, edit, typography, and sound. Keep
subject behavior inside the reality lock.
5. Select by judgment and counterfactual comparison. Ask whether a competitor
could inherit the treatment unchanged, whether one presentation choice is
memorable, whether the expressive rules cohere, and whether the result stays
clear and appealing beside an unguided control. A guided/unguided comparison
must share story reality and blocking; use a baseline for evaluation, never
as mandatory source material for the final treatment.
6. Write the script and attention plan from the selected world. Narration is
optional. Let the idea and required proof determine beat count, shot scale,
rhythm, variation, and duration. Bind factual claims to sources, but do not
force atmospheric or non-claim moments to carry citations.
7. Prefer real product footage and editable composition for exact UI, copy,
numbers, logos, and CTA text. Label reconstructed or generated product views
as illustration rather than proof. Obtain approval of the treatment and
script or silent-film plan before paid generation.
8. Query the live model catalog, requirements, and current cost estimates.
Compare the available models for control, repairability, time, and budget.
Present the path and estimated spend, then obtain approval before incurring
   it. Use supplied narration or a no-cost scratch read for provisional timing;
lock the edit to final narration only after approval.
9. Produce an editable assembly or the most repairable available draft. Inspect
representative concept, product-proof, transition, and ending moments before
   completing expensive repeated work.
10. Render the complete candidate with sound and inspect it continuously. Store
the exact final artifact with `put_object`, create a review Job for its
`objectId`, and poll with `get_job`. Review truth and legibility separately from
concept coherence, recall, emotional effect, competitor substitutability, and
the actual contribution of image, motion, type, edit, and sound. Review every
cutdown as its own final artifact.
11. Review behavior and causal continuity against the locked reality separately
from visual originality. Repair the earliest coherent cause of each blocker,
preserve passing work, and re-review every changed final artifact. Deliver
only when the eligible receipt identifies the delivered Object ID and
SHA-256. Include its generation Job ID, review Job ID, model ID, and
    estimated cost.

## Cutdowns and Fallbacks

Reuse product truth, the governing idea, expressive rules, approved assets, and
admitted material. Recompose each cutdown for its placement rather than merely
trimming the master.

- If product access fails, request supplied captures; use a labeled
reconstruction only with approval and never as proof.
- If narration is unavailable, keep the film silent or use an approved scratch
read until final timing is possible.
- If the preferred operation is unavailable, re-query live capabilities and
choose the closest compatible path without silently changing the treatment.
- If actual-artifact review cannot inspect the required modality or revision,
report it as blocked or degraded rather than complete.
- If budget approval is absent, stop after the approved no-cost treatment,
script or silent plan, scratch timing, and production-ready plan.

Complete only when the film communicates supported product truth, realizes one
coherent and product-specific creative position, passes exact-artifact review,
and binds delivery to the eligible final receipt and hash.
